Slings
These slings
are designed to carry loads too large to fit in your pack bags. They're
made from durable, 32-ounce canvas....just about as heavy as you can get.
The edges are reinforced with 1 3/4inch nylon webbing. One-half
inch grommets placed every 8 inches along the edges allow for lacing up the
ends, if needed. Finished dimensions are 26 inches wide by 64 inches long.
Slings are
quite versatile. They hold bales of hay, grain, metal T-Bar fence posts,
bridge repair timbers, etc. Also, one can ride out of camp, find long tree
limbs for firewood and drag them back using slings. And, of course, like
our pack bags, extra gear can be thrown on top of the slings, covered with a
pack tarp and tied down with a lash cincha and rope.
