Since we're experiencing a recession, Donna and I thought
we'd brighten up the end of each week with our own Friday Surprise.
You see, back in the late 30's during the Great Depression, my family was just as poor as everyone else. But fortunately, Dad had a job as a welder. Friday was payday and on his way home, he would buy the week's groceries....mom couldn't, because we only had the one car.
The best part of the whole deal was Dad coming home with what he called, "Friday Surprise." There was always something special in that grocery bag for my sister and me.
So now it's Friday...and here is your surprise!
